Jack’s Launches Kids to Love Foundation Campaign to Help Foster Children Find Forever Homes

Ala. (September 6, 2021) – Southern staple, Jack’s Family Restaurants, is launching a charitable campaign on September 8, 2021 for the Alabama-based Kids to Love Foundation to support the organization’s mission of finding “forever families” for children who are waiting to be adopted.

Jack’s corporate giving arm, Jack’s Family Fund, is proud to support this important cause with a fundraising campaign for the fourth year in a row. With family and community value at its core, Jack’s is dedicated to helping Kids to Love make life brighter for the thousands of Alabama children in foster care. Kids to Love’s goal is to help find lifelong homes and to recruit adoptive parents for children in foster care.

Jack’s Kids to Love Foundation campaign will run September 8–21 at every Jack’s location. Contributors can donate online and via text message or donate in-person at local Jack’s restaurants. Jack’s employees are also hosting their own fundraising events at various locations in creative efforts to increase donations, including community car shows, yard sales and more.

“We are proud to continue to support such an impactful and admirable nonprofit organization across all Jack’s locations,” says Todd Bartmess, CEO, Jack’s Family Restaurants. “Our team is honored to come together with our community to raise awareness and help fund efforts that support children and families in need. With our growing number of locations, we hope that 2021 will be our most successful year of donations yet.”

Lee Marshall, CEO, Kids to Love Foundation, says, “Jack’s has been a cherished Kids to Love community partner for many years, donating to help us achieve our mission of finding stable families for foster children. We are grateful for their continued partnership in supporting the youth we serve.”

For the past several years, Jack’s Family Restaurants has supported Kids to Love as part of an effort to make corporate giving a permanent part of their business. Since 2017, the Jack’s Family Fund has donated over $1,194,318 and facilitated 600 grants in various communities across the South. Last year, Jack’s Kids to Love Campaign raised $125,000, which helped positively impact the lives of the hundreds of local children.

Jack’s Family Fund serves as a separate nonprofit corporation devoted to creating a safety net for  employees, guests, and communities. Whether it’s supporting someone through a personal tragedy or offering local disaster relief, Jack’s offer hope and help in the places they call home. Kids to Love Fundraiser: Week 3 Update

So far, more than $116,000 has been donated to Jack’s Family Fund’s Kid To Love fundraiser this year. Donations are being accepted at all Jack’s stores and online through August 6th.

The large majority of funds raised are thanks to the generosity of Jack’s customers making donations at the register when they place their orders. But a few donations are coming in as a result of social media and events. For example, a group of Jack’s employees competed in a biscuit eating contest this past Monday. This weekend, Jack’s in Pell City will be hosting a yard sale as part of their fundraising efforts.

Annual Kids To Love Fundraiser Kicks-Off June 26

Jack’s Family Fund is proud to support Kids to Love, an organization dedicated to helping Alabama children in foster care. On June 26, 2019, Jack’s will kick off its annual Kids to Love fundraiser across all Jack’s restaurants.

Last year, Jack’s raised more than $217,000 with hopes to raise even more this year.

Kids to Love’s mission is to find forever families for foster children and work to create lifelong bonds by recruiting adoptive parents.

The reality is that many of the Kids to Love (KTL) children may not find a family, but that does not mean they have failed. KTL helps foster children succeed through four educational programs, including career opportunities. KTL’s simplest pledge is a backpack filled with school supplies. Each summer, the organization equips more than 5,000 foster children in Alabama and Tennessee for the school year. In the spring, they celebrate with graduating high school seniors by awarding college scholarships so their career dreams can become reality. Since 2005, the Kids to Love Foundation has awarded 553 scholarships.

Fund raises $217,000 for Kids To Love

After nearly 60 years of charitable commitment to the communities it serves, Jack’s Restaurants has launched its own separate non-profit foundation to continue its longtime commitment to community support. The Jack’s Family Foundation kicked off with the annual eight-week “Show Some Love” campaign in Jack’s Restaurants. The campaign featured a number of events, including car washes, spirit nights, and motorcycle rides to collect donations.

In the last two years, the campaign raised $178,000 and $157,000, respectively. This year, Jack’s Restaurants surpassed those numbers by a wide margin, as customers and employees in 157 stores raised $217,000 – the most Jack’s Restaurants has ever raised in a single philanthropic effort. Proceeds from the campaign, which ran from August 8 to September 25, will benefit Kids to Love, a Huntsville organization dedicated to helping Alabama children in foster care.

Jack’s has been working with Kids to Love for the past eight years; three years ago, Jack’s made Kids to Love their annual companywide fundraiser.

Jack’s #136 in Red Bay, AL, was the top-performing store in this year’s fundraiser, raising $10,773 throughout the eight-week campaign. Jack’s CEO Todd Bartmess says the Red Bay store is representative of the larger culture at Jack’s Restaurants, where customers and employees alike are dedicated to giving back to their communities:

“At Jack’s, we are privileged to be a part of improving the lives of foster children; one of our Core Values at Jack’s is to be an integral part of the communities where we do business. The Jack’s family – customers and team members alike – were passionate about doing their best to help out, and we are proud to partner with Kids to Love.”

“We love how Jack’s loves our kids!” says Lee Marshall, founder and CEO of Kids to Love. “This partnership is an amazing support for our programs that directly impact the kids we serve in foster care. The Jack’s employees are amazing ambassadors for Kids to Love.”

On October 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Davidson Farms, Kids to Love will receive a $217,000 check from Michael Greco, Chairman of the Board of Jack’s Family Fund, and Christy Malone, Jack’s Restaurants Brand Manager. For more information, or to cover this event, contact Christy Malone at 205.201.7809 or cmalone@eatatjacks.com.

Jack’s Family Fund Partners with Kids to Love

After nearly 60 years of charitable commitment to the communities it serves, Jack’s is launching its own non-profit foundation – the Jack’s Family Fund. Kids to Love, a Huntsville-based non-profit providing homes to foster children, will partner with the new organization for its first official fundraiser across all 153 restaurants.

The fund was established to provide a financial safety net during emergencies and crisis for employees, guests and communities across the restaurant chain’s footprint of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee. It was launched with starter funds provided by Jack’s and its employees.

“At Jack’s our team has a tradition of giving that truly reflects the spirit of Southern hospitality that makes our customers feel like family,” Mike Greco, president of the Jack’s Family Fund board of directors said. “Not only were initial funds raised out of our own pockets, but our team was passionate about Kids to Love being our first non-profit partner because we’re helping children in crisis in hometowns across the state.”

Kids to Love’s reach mirrors the Jack’s restaurant footprint helping foster children to find their forever homes and providing needs like food, clothing and shelter along their journey. Donations to the Kids to Love fundraiser will be accepted at all restaurants from August 8- September 25. All funds donated will go directly toward assisting foster children as they prepare for forever families and the Kids to Love girls’ home, Davidson Farms.

“The foster children we serve live in the same communities that Jack’s serves,” says Lee Marshall, Founder and CEO of Kids to Love. “I’m excited to work with Jack’s on behalf of all of our kids, including our girls who have found home here at Davidson Farms.”
